About The Raw Vegetable Diet, Lose Weight, No Cooking
Put away that frying pan...Does a raw vegetable diet sounds like a throwback to the early days of our civilization when everyone had a garden? Maybe so, but few people had weight problems back then... In fact, this plan is very similar to a vegetarian diet because most of the food consists of fruits and vegetables. The plan focuses on raw vegetables, especially, because it is well-known that raw foods contain nutrients that are lost in the canning, preservation and cooking process. The raw food diet emphasizes eating food in their most pure form. As a matter of fact, fruits, nuts, grains, and most vegetables should be eaten without any cooking. This plan consist primarily of salads, even in the morning at breakfast! The raw food diet plan stresses that simple dressings be used like oil and vinegar or lemon juice. The carbohydrate count on this type of diet is low. Any processed food like breads, pastas, and rice are eliminated. Vegetables provide carbohydrates, but usually in low quantities. That means that large quantities of vegetables have to be eaten to get a high level of carbohydrates. Dairy products are not included in the raw food diet. Dieters however can drink coconut milk. While coconut milk does not have the same consistency as dairy milk, many dieters find that it tastes just as good. This diet plan stresses plenty of water consumption. Note that your other drink options are quite limited. Juice that is 100% juice is acceptable, along with coconut milk, and the occasional smoothy.
Variations do exist for this plan. Some people add processed grains and cooked vegetables in moderation. Others add fish and possibly chicken to their diet strategy. Fish can be cooked in acid like lemon juice, if dieters want to keep close to the "raw" idea. participants in the raw food diet plan consume all of their necessary protein from nuts and legumes. If you are an exercise fanatic, however, you may find yourself running out of energy on this diet and extra calories might be needed. It's probably a good idea to scale back your exercise routine when first starting this diet. There is always a balance point to understand between how much you Eat and how much you exercise. In the beginning of the switch over, it can be very difficult to stick to the raw food diet. Most people have to change the eating habits of a lifetime and elminate foods they have been eating everyday. This requires a developed discipline and self-control, But your motivation is to lose weight and become healthier. Breaking your bad eating habits will lead to a longer, healthier life.
